Matched pair of large handmade primitive folk-art cloth dolls featuring a boy and girl, each measuring approximately 30 inches tall. Both have hand-drawn faces, stuffed cloth bodies, detailed period-style clothing, knit socks and genuine leather child-size shoes.
The girl doll is artist-signed and dated 11-9-89 on the back of the head. Both dolls were acquired together and appear to have been created as a coordinating pair. Artist’s signature is present, but the exact spelling is difficult to confirm.
